Sean Bengochea, CPA
Sean is a Certified Public Accountant who brings tax, accounting, and financial expertise to the rural communities he calls home. A 2013 Nashua High School graduate, Sean grew up on his family’s farm and ranch, shaping his deep appreciation for Montana’s agricultural backbone and the people who keep it running.
He went on to earn degrees in Accounting and Finance from Montana State University. Beginning in 2015, Sean has built a diverse professional background as both a staff accountant and a loan officer, gaining a practical understanding of how numbers, businesses, and communities intersect. He earned his CPA license in September 2021.
Sean values staying close to the agriculture industry, and accounting has allowed him to support the producers and small businesses that define rural Montana. In 2025, he partnered with Kara Henke to launch Teton Tax Advisors PLLC, where he continues to provide tax preparation, planning, and advisory services with a forward-looking, community-centered approach.

Kara Henke, CPA
Kara is a Certified Public Accountant who provides tax and accounting services to her hometown community. A 2012 Choteau High School graduate, she earned a Bachelor of Accounting and an Associate in Business Management and Administration from Carroll College in 2016.
After college she worked in Helena, then returned to Dutton and joined a Great Falls accounting firm, gaining over three and a half years of audit and tax experience. She passed all four CPA exams during the COVID-19 pandemic and became a licensed CPA on February 10, 2021.
As remote work grew, Kara expanded her experience with firms in California, Missouri, and Illinois. Her work in California focused on nonprofit tax preparation, which she continues to enjoy.
Eventually, Kara felt a strong pull back to her Montana roots. After a brief period of work in Helena, she learned that another CPA had launched a tax practice in Dutton. She met Sean Bengochea, CPA, at Dutton Fun Day in 2025, and after several conversations and thoughtful planning, the two founded Teton Tax Advisors PLLC.
